typical tax software. they try to nickle and dime you for absolutely everything though. honestly its gotten a little insane and this may be the last year i use turbo tax.

I no longer trust turbotax

I was forced in to purchasing an additional state (Indiana) and despite smartcheck telling me everything was fine, my tax return was rejected MULTIPLE TIMES! I want my money back.

I've used TurboTax for decades

I've used TurboTax for decades. I love how it imports prior year's information so I don't have to do that. I like how it lets me choose to go through every item or choose which ones I want to work on. I've never been audited, but I am confident in the calculations should that happen. Using TurboTax every year just gives me confidence.

Why make the eFile signature PIN so difficult?

I've been using TurboTax for more than 10 years while I was in business. I'm now retired so I switched to most basic Turbo Tax to file the 1099R for Seniors. Simple enough. Until I got the the signature page to eFile and they asked me for my 2024 "eFile PIN", which is supposed to be 5 digits long, and not the same as the IRS PIN which I had entered earlier. So I entered five digits which I selected. My fillings were rejected because of that.
When I got the Rejection Notice, I went to TurboTax's "Help" page. I found others had the same problem. But there was NO SOLUTION . . . Come on TurboTax . . . Why make it so difficult?. You won't have me as a customer next year. I'll just do it myself like I did all the years before I began using TurboTax.
