Bug in forgotten password tool

I attempted to use the free version of TurboTax online, but could not remember my password, and the password reset was no help. I bought the package for download, and had the same issue with the forgotten password. I called the help line, and it took the technician an hour and a half to fix the issue. Once the issue was resolved, the remainder of the filing process was very easy to accomplish, as usual.

Competent Turbo Tax

Overall very satisfactory results. Need some reprogramming or better assistance in the Form 1116 as it is impossible to report two foreign countries in the Guided version.

Treatment of IRA distributions needs to be fixed

There were serious problems with the forms related to RMDs from IRAs. TT is not following IRS regulations. In. particular, TurboTax issues a penalty if an account RMD is larger than the withdrawal, not taking into account that contributions can be taken from other accounts.
