Turbo Tax is a good Tax software tool

Turbo Tax did not propose the 1040SR form for us to use automatically. I had used that the previous year. There was no way for me to select the form to use when starting out.
The completion of each segment was a little different from the previous years when downloaded from a disc. The screen size and the font size was (smaller) not the same as the rest of the computer applications.
The explanation window for each of the fields was either not available or not clear to understand and was in very small font size.

State file not opening

State tax file was hung up and did not open. Had to uninstall and reinstall on another computer to get to state.

Turbo Tax says it gives you "one state return free" but then charges you when you e-file.

more MA state Schedule X support needed

The Massachusetts state return needs more support, especially a Schedule X explanation of "previously taxed by Massachusetts". It's a ton of work even IF you know what it means.

Tough Year

Very difficult to use this year because I was unable to transfer old returns to a new computer. Very slow and very cumbersome. Will try out a new service next year.

The $25 state filing fee.

I always use Turbo Tax (22 years now), so I am use to it and wouldn't consider changing.
My only complaint is the $25 charge to file my state taxes when It says I get one federal and one state filing free.

TurboTax is easy to complete with the onboard help provided. I had one issue that required additional help. The support person was knowledgeable and provided the answer I needed.
