Pretty good software

Reasonably good software. Turbo Tax walks you through with a question and answer format. If you have complicated situations, Turbo Tax doesn't always ask enough questions to fill in all the information, and may occasionally steer you in the wrong direction.

Turbo Tax simplifies the return process.

I have used TurboTax for many years and find that it simplifies the return process. This year, for some reason, the program did not import last years tax return data, resulting in the Roth IRA basis data to be lost. I guess that I will deal with this issue when the time comes.

Best trustworthy Income Tax filing software

Turbo Tax makes it easy for me to file my taxes. I have been using it for over 10 years and never got audited or had any issues. It is very accurate and it guides me step by step making it very difficult to miss anything.

Pretty easy. Sometimes at the end if there's an issue and it takes you to the actual form to put in a number or something its hard to figure out what goes in the blank and at that stage there are not helps or hints.

Not happy with the 2024 version

I loaded my 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, and 1099-R from 2023. I was not able to review and change the INT and DIV forms from 2023. I had to delete the forms and type them in by hand. This was a big headache. The 1099-R forms from 2023 I was able to edit which made it much easier. I've used TurboTax many years and have never had this problem. The 2024 Tax version was very disappointing.
