simple with few issues

Most of the program is self explanatory and pretty easy to use; however, there are issues with populating investment information with many of the brokerages. I understand the need for security, but the amount of information requested to even get to their websites can be maddening. Other than that, I feel the program has become easier to use over the years.

Problem with MT Estimated Worksheet

Generally good and handles most retiree situations.
Using MT state Turbo Tax and estimating taxes for 2025, I found errors in the calculations in the 2024 column of the MT Estimated Tax Worksheet. The $5500 reduction in taxable income for being over 65 is not included, so the 2024 column does not match the actual 2024 Taxes.

Getting less robust with new non-value situations

IT seems like the usability of Turbo Tax is regressing. IT never used to ask me to do my State Tax before, becuase:
1. I only bough the Federal Version
2. My state does not have an income tax

Also quit asking the same defense or Audit services over and over. Once is enought

TurboTax is a very good product. One area that could be improved, after going through the interview and having skipped some entries, it is not always easy to get back to where you want to go. Especially regarding business income and expenses. A function to search inside my return could help.

You never said anything about me owing a penalty/interest or what it was for. I am paying my taxes prior to April 15. However, I found it relatively easy to use and you asked probably enough questions for my normal person situation/income. The Alaska Permanent Fund entry was troublesome as it looked like you made me enter it on the 1099 MISC and again (with a check box) on a following form. So that needs to be cleared up.
