I'm a long time TurboTax user. My choices for future returns are: 1) continue with TurboTax, or 2) switch to other software. I think it would take me longer to get used to new software than to learn TurboTax's annual changes. This year I found the new presentation of investment (capital gains, 1099-int and 1099-div) more difficult to work with than the previous format.

Miss the old days of disk for computer but hopeful

I am 80 years old and miss getting disk but Finally figured how to print which my 82 year old retired 27 years husband would like - he is a retired engineer and figured it out but it is challenging - hopeful it is easier to use next year but Thank you for Decades of excellent service
My retired husband and I pay estimated taxes but maybe your coaching is correct we should ask Edward Jones to take estimates from RMD - Best to us all to get to April 15, 2026 - after Easter next year but before Easter in 2025.

RMD Questions Confusing

The interview questions this year were not clear. When entering the required minimum distribution (RMD) information, it was not clear as to how to answer how much of the distribution from the account went toward the required minimum distribution and, as a result, the way I answered caused the software to calculate a penalty for not withdrawing the entire minimum distribution when we had. Our RMD was achieved by our total withdrawals, even though we had not withdrawn enough from one of the accounts, but the total withdrawal was sufficient to meet the RMD.
