Misleading Need for a New PIN

When I was getting ready to e-File, a PIN was already in place for myself and my wife. What wasn't apparent that I was being asked to enter two, new PIN numbers prior to proceeding; therefore my e-File for Federal and State were rejected.

TurboTax is okay and could use some improvements

Would have liked more instructions at different stages.
Didn't know how to use options at very top of screen, especially ones not highlighted. Example: after I clicked on "Forms" I didn't know how to return to main tax screen.
When I wanted to correct an entry, I had to click "Back" many times to find it. Very slow.

Not that grate anymore

User interface and experience has gone downhill. Several of the uploads did not work which in the past worked flawlessly. Many of the popup message are geared to get more money out of you by upgrade, expert advice etc. Afte many years of good experience I will have to seriously consider switching to alternative.

I talked to Abraham on April 9, 2025. He gave me excellent advice. He was patient, telling me to take my time. He answered all my questions. We shared my computer.. A a result, I was able to file today! Yay! A great relief!

Tubo Tax Glitches

Glitches Glitches Glitches! The software crashed after completing the Federal and just as I was downloading the State. Page buttons were hidden until I had to change the screen resolution on my Mac, making it impossible to read. Request for Key Chain passwords I never set up and blocked any further ability to move on without Force Quitting the program. The ability to file on our own is great. They need to fix the time-consuming and annoying glitches! Mac User.

What's happened to Turbo Tax?

Not as good as it used to be. Downloaded financials, but then it said "needed review" without any information on what need reviewing. Had to dig around to find someone to call. When I got to the state, the program said I needed to send a copy of "charitable contributions" to the state regardless of mailing in or e-filing. It printed the form to send in, but I have no idea of what to send in or who to send it to. You were better...

I'm not very happy with the fact your product is telling me that I e-filed my state return before I even printed a copy for review! This year I'm not impressed with your product and I have be using it for 20 years. Boo...
