Best self tax help out there!!!

I have been using Turbo Tax for about ten years. During that time, I have been very happy with the product and would rate it 4 or 5 stars. This year (2024 tax year), as I was entering my information, I found the flow of the product to be not intuitive at all. I made it through, though and after entering, I was planning to e-file both the Federal (free) and State returns. I was unable to pay for the state return online, because I was being forced (at least I was unable to find a way to decline) turbotax "free" tax advice, by providing a credit card number. I called customer support to purchase the state e-file for $25 by calling the provided number (1-877-559-8824). the customer service representative was able to bill my credit card the $25, but unable to provide a confirmation number to enable the state e-file to take place. After 54 minutes during two calls and three people, I was able to reach someone (most of the call time I was on hold) who could provide the necessary number to activate the state e-file capability. Overall, I found Turbotax to be a horrendous experience this year.

Turbo Tax can be difficult if you are not a CPA.

This was very aggravating in that the program keeps asking about State Taxes in my previous state of residence which was Virginia. We have been in Florida for almost 3 years filed as only residence in Florida for 2023 but the program keeps asking about Virginia taxes. Something is wrong here & need to be corrected in the application.

2.5 stars EXCEPT FOR THE ACTUAL FILING NERVE RACKING AND I ALWAYS FAIL TO SEE IT GO THE FIRST TIME.
I ALSO CAN NEVER GET MY PRIOR YEAR DATA TRANSFERRED TO THE NEXT YEAR VERSION. I THINK I SAVE THE RETURN, IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS THE RETURN BUT IT DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO GET IT IN WITHOUT RE-KEYING.
