A suggestion for a great product

Overall, I like TurboTax! I have been using it for years now. It has taught me a great deal about taxes. I am now retired, and my tax situation has gotten more complex. Even though TT leads you through the topics, there can be confusion. One particular issue I found with 1099 NEC income is TT will default to making it business income. To prevent a Schedule C from being filled, there is a check box for stating that the income is for occassional or one-time income. This is found under the section on income - 1099 NEC. I think it would improve the product by making this question more prominent. I suspect that many people have occassional income by being a poll worker, for example. In addition, offering text explaning that not all 1099 NEC income is classifiied as business income. I had to go through multiple iterations and on line help to figure how to avoid a Schedule C. It is obvious once you know where to look, but perhaps you can spare other users in the future. But overall, this is a great prduct that I trust.

The software is EZ to use and prompts the user for all information needed. The importing of information from last years return is especially helpful and prevents mistakes from reoccurring.

Turbo Tax is good.

I had a problem when I needed to correct something, it would not recalculate. I had to start a new return over. When I got ready to file, I only wanted to e-file the federal return, It tried to force me to e-file the state return. I just wanted to print and mail the state. I had to call up the federal and state, print both federal and state. It would not let me print to file state.

McAfee blocked the installation

I have been using Turbo Tax for more than fifteen years. I always used the CD version but this year I am forced to use the Desktop version. I got so many probems with it.
The first is I cannot install the Desktop version because my desktop security program (McAfee) prevent me to do so. That gave me a ton of headache. Second, my tubotax did a loop to continue asking me for $45 on Audit Defense which I refused.
However, your agent Camilia, Jaremy and Latifa did provide excellent help to my problems. I would give them 5 stars if not 4 stars.

My experience this year with TurboTax was excellent until I went to pay for my filings. The TurboTax Program that I purchase was to contain FREE filing for Federal and State returns but I had to pay $25 for the State. WHY??
