Turbo Tax is my Go TO for Taxes..

Turbo Tax is always my go to for Tax Software as I have used it for the past 17 years. It is always so easy to use and follow. I have always had a Disc on previous years and having to order and download was not as user friendly as I would have hoped but i finally got it and all went well. So thanks again Turbo Tax

The product is easy to download, update, and use. The feature to import information from pas tax documents is a time saver. Filing is easy.

TurboTax program is a deep endless money pit.

It is exceptionally poor to amend there is no amend so if you accidentally forgot an interest statement for instance it's almost virtually impossible to amend your tax form and no help from TurboTax without paying $50 for consulting fee even though you bought it so it's basically $50 for every question that you got in that really stinks.

TurboTax has become more focused on trying to sale more as we finalize tax return. We do not like this type of push and find it annoying and unncessary.

Not as good as the past, but gets the job done.

I've used Turbotax for 30 years. This year's desktop version is less streamlined than previous years. Automatic update didn't happen prior to transmitting my return and the transmission didn't go through until I manually updated the software. Then a $5 off for state e-file coupon appeared, but I couldn't use it because I had already purchased state e-file at the higher price. Generally, it took more time to do the same things I've been doing for years in this software. A regression in usability. Gets the job done, but not as easily as years past.

Depending on Need - TurboTax is Cumbersome

This was WAY too complicated for average users. Fortunately, I was a geek in a former life and am tenacious - but it should never have taken as long as it did. Really need to do a better job with IRA contributions, distributions, and total value. Additionally, I downloaded my 1099-R from my financial institution and TurboTax continually gave me an error about box 9a needing a value. I deleted the downloaded form and entered the data EXACTLY as on the 1099-R I received, and the error went away. Ridiculous.
