Turbo tax is a time saver!

So easy to file online. Used Turbo Tax for both federal and state filing. Also provides comparison to prior year which is nice to see. We have used it for serval years now and will continue to use it.

Improves every year and handy

Every year turbotax does get better. The phone customer service is VASTLY improved. Over the years they do seem to have taken all of my suggestions: is this taxpayer alive? (if no attach death certificate), does the 1099R say if the income is taxable? (now defaults to yes but should be a prompt or instructions on what this means). This year's comments: way way too much paper printing out such as 6 pages of estimated tax vouchers even if return is 95% based on W-2 income and no penalty was paid and no estimated taxes were paid. Also some weird flaws such as last year's tax refund ALWAYS pre-populates with the wrong amount, It is super handy to have all the data in one place and the prior info automatically carrying forward (except as described above).

Turbo Tax Excessive Advertising

Please stop all of your internal advertising! I am being asked to upgrade Turbo Tax multiple times and purchase other features that I am not interested in while using your product, that I purchased for a significant amount of money. Ever since you required me to enter an email address, I receive solicitations from you almost every day and ended up blocking your emails. I am considering changing to another Tax company because of your excessive advertising.

Turbo Tax is not awesome

I find Turbo Tax very frustrating. Initial information I entered was lost when I exited Turbo Tax. Secondly, it took me an inordinate amount of time to figure out how I could get Turbo Tax to apply my "refund" to this year's estimated tax, and then when I was finally successful in doing that, the estimated tax forms prepared by Turbo Tax did not incorporate the "refund" into the calculation of the first quarter estimated tax payment.
