Hidden fees

easy enough to enter tax information. Overall good interface, but poor or unclear advice. Poor interface with printer. Tells user after forms are complete that e-filing with state is optional and extra cost, but doesn't provide option to print and file by paper.

More and more of a headache every year

TurboTax has more hoops to jump through each and every year. I had to create a special online account (useless), install a NEW OPERATING system on my computer, and tear my hair out just trying to figure out how to save the document as a .pdf rather than a turboTax file (tons of google searches for that one, TT will point you to their online account system, which is completely unnecessary.)
On top of that, the upselling is ridiculous. Constant prompts to upgrade and buy extra services. Wasn't the $55 I paid, WITH TAX ON TOP, enough to fork out for the privilege of paying money to the government?? Filing state taxes is $20-$25--I'm pretty sure it doesn't cost $20 to send a file. Constant prompts to pay them to submit my state tax.

I hate this software more and more every year; using old fashioned pen and paper would be easier than dealing with the complicated passwords and poor instructions and upselling. Never again.

Turbo tax is slow and confusing

The box for the passkey is horrible. Spent over 3 hrs with turbo tax to finally be able to download the program.
Also, wish you would go back to 2023 software where interest/div/sales of stock was all separate.
When you have a sale of stock horrible the way you have to answer each question one at a time and wait for the screen to refresh. It took so long to prepare taxes for no reason.
