Missing key functionality

Turbo Tax does not allow me to enter my Foreign State Pension on line 1040, line 5 (Pensions and Annuities). I am forced to enter it on line 8 (additional income). The only way to do this would be to create a 'Substitute 1099-R', which would require me to create a fake taxpayer number for the overseas payor. 'Tax Act' can do this. Many people are complaining about this and it is simply unforgivable.

Functional, but awkward

You can eventually get TurboTax to complete your taxes, but the interface is awkward. If you need to revise something you can't do it from the forms view. You have to go through the whole step-by-step sequence again. Even this is awkward because on the steps you want to skip you can't just select the Yes/No that is highlighted by default. You have to read the question, otherwise you may change something you didn't intend to. Oh, and there was a minor bug when filing out the Arizona state tax form. You have to put in both the name of the Qualified Foster Care Organization that you are donating to and its ID number, but the summary page copies the ID number into both the ID number field and the name field.

High Marks for Turbo Tax!

Turbo Tax is a confidence booster in self-prepared taxes. I recommend the additional purchase of live tax advice. I needed two questions answered and the experts responded in a timely way, were patient, and knowledgeable. Again, I felt more confident that I was completing our taxes accurately after consulting with each of them. In each case, our situation required answers I was unable to find anywhere but with a professional. We have used Turbo Tax for successfully for many years and plan to continue.

Dividends and Interest Section

I HATE what you've done with the dividends and interest section. You've combined them, and why can't you import PDF files?? Who publishes TXT files?? Very disappointing. But overall, TurboTax is still pretty good.
