Turbo tax is more than awesome!

By carefully reading the Turbo Tax instructions, it is quite easy to understand what documents and figures you will need to do the return. I've used Turbo Tax for several years. I've never been disappointed with the results!

Turbo Tax problem.

As of today, there has been a rider on turbo tax that charged me $260,.00 to do my taxes that I had already done!
I did not choose to have that done. I feel Turbo Tax should not allow that to be included in your software.

Some problems but wonderful in the end

My first two contacts with TurboTax employees were deeply disappointing as I was given bad advise. Then I got transferred to April. If I could give her 100 stars I would. She was extremely well informed, even on our state return. She was patient, kind and is the only reason I will use Turbo Tax again next year. This is such a busy time of year for your people and April exceeded all expectations.

TURBO TAX IS OK

I HAD BEEN USING THE DISC METHOD OF LOADING TURBO TAX INTO EXTERNAL E: DRIVE. I'M 81 AND CAN GET AROUND ON MY LAPTOP, BUT I MISSED THE STEP IN THE INPUT TO CHANGE FROM PUTTING IT INTO THE C DRIVE TO EDITING YOUR 2024 LABEL TO PUT IT IN THE E: DRIVE THE FIRST TIME AROUND. DON'T REMEMBER HAVING ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE DISC INPUT TO THE E DRIVE IN THE PAST. HAD TO UNINSTALL AND START ALL OVER AGAIN. YOUR INPUT DIRECTIONS COULD BE A LITTLE MORE DETAILED. LIKE THE DOWNLOAD TAKES PLACE BEFORE INPUT OF THE LICENSE NUMBER. I DED LIKE THE FEATURE OF DOING DATA INPUT FROM A PICTURE OF A FORM LIKE THE W2. ON THE VANGUARD DOWN LOAD DATA FROM VANGUARD WENT IN FINE, BUT THE NAME PULLED FROM VANGUARD WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE 2023 LABEL THAT I HAD USED AND THE SYSTEM PUT IN A SECOND VANGUARD FORM. WHEN THE SYSTEM DID THE CHECK AT THE END, I HAD TO GO BACK IN AND SEE WHY THERE WAS A BLANK VANGUARD INPUT AND DELETE THE BLANK VERSION FROM THE LAST YEAR.
ALSO, THIS HAPPEND IN 2023 AND IN 2024 FORM AND INPUT OF $3 ON VANGUARD 1099-DIV LINE 5 SECTION 199A DIVIDENDS WHICH GENERATES A QUALIFIED BUSINESS INCOME DEDUCTION SUMMARY. I TALKED TO AN EXPERT LAST YEAR AND DIDN'T GET A CLEAR ANSWER. THE FORM DOESN'T EXPLAIN THAT THE AMOUNT IS COMING FROM A MUTUAL FUND. SINCE I DOWNLOADED THE VANGUARD INFO OF $3 DIRECTLY FROM VANGUARD I JUST FILED THE REPORT AS DETERMED BY TURBO TAX AND NOT WASTE TIME ON IT.
AFTER USING TURBO TAX FOR A FEW YEARS, I GOT USE TO HOW TO GO BACK AND DOUBLE INPUTS. IT WOULD BE HELP FULL IS THE FIRST PAGE WAS INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO USE THE SYSTEM. ANOTHER EXAMPLE FOR THE 3 STARS. HAVING TROUBLE GETTING A NICKNAME IN A REQUIERED NICKNAME FIELD.
