Sleazy Attempt to Sign up for Premium

One star for the outrageous and sleazy attempt to get us to sign up for Turbo Premium at the end. For CA State, you're shown a screen saying there's a discount to $20 to e-file. Sure, why not?
BUT what they don't make clear is, accepting that, you then sign up for their Premium coverage. You don't find that out until the very end when you're charged ANOTHER $45 for that extra. Then I spent 25 minutes trying to figure out how to remove that charge -- it shows as something you have to activate UNTIL you search online and find out that, no, you "agreed" to it by choosing to accept the $20 state efile.
So you've got to go all the way back and choose NOT to e-file state, and the charge disappears. I've used TT Desktop for 30+ years and this has NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. (Sorry for the CAPS but I'm pretty outraged by this).
The only good news is Turbo Tax as a program worked great up until that incredibly frustrating rabbit hole.

Didn't like the fact i could not file electronically because of Form 8283. Much more work and aggravation to fill out the paperwork manually then in the software. Never had this issue before.

Easy to navigate and to understand. Turbo Tax Deluxe covered all I needed this year. I have used Turbo tax Premium before with great success.
