Paying money to Turbo Tax at end

Using Turbo Tax is simple. Plus I love the way it shows what I had entered the previous year. What I didn't like is that after spending $70 for the software, I was asked to spend a considerable amount to file online. I opted to print and mail, but that would not have been my preference.

Turbo Tax is great!

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 30 years, it has always done a great job. This is year was no exception. However, I have one concern going forward, the notice that popped up stating that since Microsoft has chosen to end support for Windows 10 there is no guarantee that Turbo Tax will work properly in the future under that Operating System. I would suggest that since there is a host of perfectly capable computers in use that due to certain quirks of Windows 11 cannot be upgraded, yet none of the reasons for this would affect an accounting type application such as Turbo Tax, if you want to retain customers that happen to own a computer Microsoft is leaving behind, you should make your software work for both operating systems for the foreseeable future, otherwise many current turbo tax users may consider switching to other tax preparation software. Myself included.

2 problems made me file paper: on Sched C picked up Line 28 instead of Line 29 which disallowed my $650 for use of home and on Nondeductible IRAs, it did not allow me to show that I converted my 2023 $7500 nondeductible contribution to a Traditional IRA into a Roth IRA in 2024.
