Easier in my 2nd year of use

2nd year using Turbotax; process questions that got answered last year (mainly having to do with PA state return) made things much easier.

Too many fees with no explanation

The software is excellent, but I did not appreciate having to purchase all the filing services individually. I bought a desktop version of the software and opted to pay for add-ons with a credit card. When I signed up for direct deposit, I was charged a processing fee which could be deducted from my refund. I would prefer you to be more up-front by listing all the costs associated with filing online and using direct deposit before I start the process and also give me a summary of what I bought. I really don't know if I double paid to file or not

Extremely disappointed

I've used TurboTax for many years and the product has declined. There is no clear and concise way to get any questions answered including simple matters like where to input certain information. It does not appropriately account for the NYS pension adjustment when the item is reported on the W-2 as nonqualified pension income. It was also difficult to adjust the tax exempt dividends that are tax-free for fed but taxable to NYS. The product is inflexible and once overrides are used it won't let you efile.
