Easy and Quick

I have been using TurboTax for over a decade and I love how easy it is to navigate. I used there connect with a tax expert this time and it was worth every penny to teach me something I can use going forward. Such a great resource for all of us who want to do this ourselves!

good but could be better

TT was good but could be much better. There should be a complete index to make it much easier to go back and find things in the interview or in the topics. For example, I wanted to change the amount of refund to be applied to next year's return and it was very difficult to find that topic and change the amount. You also should allow overrides on most entries. You should allow all of refund to be applied to next year and not require a specific number, etc., etc.

Interest/Dividends by State calculations

Horrible when we had to fill out the exempt interest dividends by state. We are given percentages by bank and have to calculate the amounts each year. Turbo tax should also take the percentages and do the math for us. Also, once we entered the amounts, and it wouldn't advance (red triangles), there was no total anywhere to show what we had entered and that we were off by $.01 so we had to fool around with that. Too difficult!

Multiple errors

Made many errors this year, put in random amount for scanned in W2
After filing and just printing return, it says "you have errors in your return"
