Turbo Tax is okay

Experience was okay, but I have been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years. This year's program was much better than last year, so they have made some improvements.

NEEDS IMPROVEMENT

there needs to be a space at the top of the program that shows what my AGI is , that number is used to calculate many deductions etc.
The schedule A deduction worksheet NEEDS improvement - each deduction area should show . what amount is going to be allowed and what amount isn't allowed and why. for example Medical expense - based on AGI how much will one need to have to get the deduction. As it is now we spend a lot of time putting together receipts and doing calculations only to find there isn't enough to get the deduction.
Also TurboTax should be shoeing that this deduction may be allowed on the State Return.

Turbo tax is lazy! Improve the product or lose me

Logging in after you purchase the product at a retail store can be much simpler. I had to go to help to figure it out and I have been an accounant for over 20years. What are you doing that you don't make this simple. Also, to e file you need to know prior years AGI. If I filed with Turbo Tax last year I should be able to get this fast. Instead, since I'm away from home I was uable to E file - stupid!! Give access to last year's return.

Annoying to decline financial import every time

I prefer to enter financial data myself. Having to go through the decline to import EVERY time is very annoying.

I found this year's version to be confused on entering dividends, interest and capital gains, but otherwise a good program.

TT brought up from Schedule E for no apparent reason. I had to google search to get explanation on how to remove. My tax is simple. The IRS should be able to complete it for me but Intuit lobbied congress to keep income tax complicated so we would purchase TT. This really sucks.
