IP PIN: Now With Extra Inconvenience!

Who at a company literally named "INTUIT" thought it was a great idea to bury the IP PIN three layers deep in a part of the software no one ever visits unless they’ve stumbled across an obscure support article?!?
Seriously — the Identity Protection PIN — you know, the thing that stops people from filing fake returns in your name — maybe that should go at the start of the return? Like when it asks, “Who are you filing for?” Not, say, after a digital scavenger hunt through menus no normal user would ever think to open.

It’s almost like the goal was to frustrate users into not using this program!

Good overall, but some "improvements" are not!

For the most part, TurboTax is easy to use. However some of the changes they made this year have actually made it more difficult and problem prone. Specifically, the dividends and interest page summary includes extraneous entries that you can't simply delete (the garbage can icon does nothing on this page). You have to find the offending form and delete it manually. Why did they add this worthless page??

State File by Mail is Dysfunctional

The transition from Federal E-file to State mail in is dysfunctional. The program should transition seamlessly from one action to the other. After e-filing my Federal return, the program did NOT take me back to the State return to file it by mail.

Poorly Executed product for MAC computers

The product was a total pain in the rear on a Mac it did not do a final update check before filing and failed to send and I had to go manually find and update. The product should have asked to check for updates as part of the final check. Also, I e-filed federal but then had to go back in and fart around to get state to print. All the helpful automation is gone in this produce and it is not worth buying any more in my opinion.
