TurboTax --- very effective

I have found TurboTax to very effective and convenient for 5 years, but I am only comparing with doing past returns by hand on paper. I have not used other "programs".

Easy-to-use guides, on-line help & explanations, the "walk me through everything" mode with the ability to back up and recheck things is the best.

I've used turbo tax since it was macintax on the Mac plus. This was the first year where it crashed after hours of working on my taxes only to have it lose EVERYTHING. I had to start all over again and it didn't even let me import previous years filing so I had to re-enter everything manually.
