I HAVE been using Turbo tax since the early 1990's, It's hard to compare to others since I don't use any other, except for when I worked for HRB. (or the ones prior in the late 80's early 90's) But I do use both the personal and business programs and find them to be user friendly. Of course its easier for me as I have a back ground in doing taxes and do not use the step by step feature. I know I'm getting old but I miss having the hard copy disk to have to reload if my cpu fails or is replaced.

Could have better user interface. Could not read my saved tax file from a month ago that somehow got corrupted. Somehow could not find my taxes from last year to file for this years taxes.

Embarrassing TT Product

Been using TT for 10 plus years and this is without a doubt the poorest product you have produced. It wasn't as user friendly and every time you turnaround you are wanting money for a service that should be standard product services. It got to the point where I felt your main goal was to get more money by becoming less user friendly. Between now and next year I will definitely be looking at alternative packages. I don't say this lightly but TT should be embarrassed by this product and should consider discounts to those that bought the TT Deluxe package

Not pleased with some of the step by step pages

I've used Turbo Tax Deluxe edition for years and I have to say, this year's format is more difficult to navigate for specific areas. For example, in the State return there wasn't a section in the step by step instructions to select "apply refund to next year's taxes" and any Federal amount due, when choosing the pay by credit card option, I was unable to choose a date to pay the fees. It assumes you want to pay the day you file, which I DID NOT. There was no indication if my payment was processed or anything. How are we supposed to know when and if it got processed?
Pros: My employment status changed this year
