Works great, but pricing can be deceptive

The TurboTax product itself works well, and I feel confident in it. However, I continue to be angered on an annual basis by the lack of cost clarity when using the product. The $40 refund processing fee that was tacked on at the end was unanticipated and confusing. When I received the disclaimer from my state that I did not need to pay the fee, I couldn't even figure out how to avoid the fee within the software. In multiple years, the price that I believed that I would be paying on the front end did not end up to be the price on the back end of the process. It feels like a trap. I still appreciate the easy-to-use Turbo Tax system, but I'm always on the lookout for other products because of the opaque pricing structure.
