I've used Turbo Tax for my husband's and my joint return, as well as for a senior friend's single return, for several years, and I appreciate the way it walks me through each section. If I choose to, or need to, skip a section temporarily, it reminds me to go back to that section to complete it before filing the return electronically. It also alerts me to available updates to the Federal and California forms when I go back into the software to complete or file the returns so that I can easily click the provided button to install the updates, then complete or review the completed return one last time before filing it electronically. Once filed, I get notices when my returns have been accepted by the State and Federal govt (usually the same or next day), so I know they're in the right place and on time.
