Importing Prior Year Tax Info Challenging

Unfortunately getting started was extremely difficult because there are no clear instructions on how to import 2023 yr taxes into the 2024 Turbo Tax software which was very frustrating and time consuming trying to figure it out, after much wasted time, I had to call customer service, and it took about a hour on the phone with a lovely lady who explained how to import my 2023 yr taxes into the new 2024 Turbo Tax software.. Clearly Turbo Tax can provide better and concise instructions on how to import prior yr tax info.. Once i figured out how to import 2024 tax yr into Turbo tax working with the customer service lady, the process went very well..

Not as easy as last year - complicated

This year it asked for forms that never asked for in previous years. Did not explain clearly - even when I went to the help section - just seemed to repeat the form numbers with no explanation. Confusing.

Great Help

I had to call Intuit and spoke to Tanisha who was a great help. I was unable to input information off of my SSA-1099 in the Income section of the return. She directed me to the Forms section and helped me through the problem. She was so patient and helpful, which I really appreciated.

Confusing

I found the material more confusing this year than in prior years. I also had a problem with entering my credit card information. The months began with 02 and would not go to 01, which is what my expiration date is. I finally used a different card.

Turbo Tax was fair

Importing for Income and dividends was cumbersome and not very intuitive. Correcting errors was not easy either.
