Turbo tax is so time saving.

It was fine for me but would much rather have the CD. I realize not having it is cost saving. Please next year please explain the install directions better.

Same TurboTax but a little worse

When you spend so much to lobby congress to keep the tax process the way it is, you can't expect much from the software. I'm here because of inertia but my taxes did get less complicated this year. Ultimately, there is more effort in bugging you to spend more money on "Live tax advice" and Audit Defense, plus the regular nickel and diming for state e-file.
I find myself cursing turbo tax every time there's a slight hiccup, again, since they lobby congress to keep taxes this way as a business model. I'm sure it'll get worse next year, so I'll be looking for other options.

TurboTax Has Potential

Does a lot of the heavy lifting but falls short on too many occasions. At no point should I have to google things. I shouldn't have to look up what something means. I shouldn't have to look up what a phrase in quotations is. In some places the program will offer explanations, but these are absent in other areas where they would be needed. What's the point in creating a program and marketing it as the solution when it gives you problems? Other than these little holes in the ship's hull, the program is fantastic. If every single page had links to thoroughly explain everything a complete amateur might need to know, this program would be flawless and unstoppable.

Gets complicated on very simple situations. Upsells are getting worse every year. Nonetheless, does what it's supposed to to.
