It is easy to follow. I can't imagine doing taxes the old way using the printed booklet.

More cumbersome to enter income this year

It was easier to use in prior years.
I enter information on my own, not import. This year I had to click Skip Import for every type of income. The first time I select Skip Import, you should ask if I want to Skip Import every time, so I don't need to keep saying so every time.
Also I felt like going in a circle many times to enter income. When i select to Update 1099-INT, I get to another screen where I have to pick one type of income again. instead of filling in the 1099 form.

Turbotax is quality Tax Preperation Software

1. New version of Turbotax are much more complex to install, requiring Interacting with Turbotax website including password and approval to use Turbotax? I paid for the software, and I cannot install the software without having this extra process. I mistakenly signed up for Turbotax emails and have been getting emails about my tax return status, missing information on forms, and of course selling software. This appears to be intrusive because I am being told about things I chose to do or not do myself. I will not allow Turbotax emails when using this product again.
2. Updating Tax forms- Turbotax always had problems crashing and or failing to download Tax forms. The 2024 version still has problems with completing upgrade of Forms. At least the software did not crash with the 2024 version.
3. The interface is the same as I am used to. There are more pages recommending 'Expert' tax help, etc.
I use Turbotax so I do NOT have to pay more money for Tax services. I suggest allowing user to shut the Expert Help off for experienced users. This feature can be activated if the user asks for help/assistance

I am happy with the quality of the returns I have created with Turbotax. Never been audited or had to submit a corrected tax return.

I HAVE USED TURBOTAX FOR MANY YEARS. I TRIED A COMPETITOR'S PRODUCT FOR ONE YEAR & THEN WENT BACK TO TURBOTAX BECAUSE I LIKED IT BETTER.

2024 TurboTax Return

I talked to three TurboTax experts. They were wonderful. Some of the forms are not straight forward, but the assistants were able to walk me through the necessary entries. I recommend the version that includes assistance.
