Usable, but could be better

Software in general works, but still has some user interface issues. For example, the charitable contributions section expects mileage entries for out-of-pocket expenses, whether there were any mileage expenses or not- grouped in same category with parking fees and such.
Idaho state tax software includes a capital gains form, even when no capital gains were declared (if you don't enter a "zero" in the interview box asking about capital gains, it doesn't seem to do this, but it is not obvious that you can skip this question without entering anything). It then asks later in the interview process for the address of the property, even though there was none. It takes going into the documents view and deleting the form to resolve this issue which shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Been using Turbo Tax for decades. It is still my go to tax preparation software. I have used it for personal and business sole proprietor returns. it has always been a solid and reliable product. Not audited once in all those years because the returns have always been accurate. In using Turbo Tax for all these years, I have come to know the tax codes well. It has been not only functional but also educational.

Turbo Tax 2024 edition

Still a very satisfied T-T user. However, this edition was not as straight forward with incorporating the 1099-B proceeds information, so I had to stumble through to the end to say have not inputted all information when asked at the review your return.

It has been more difficult this year because of the download. I am not the sharpest when it comes to computers so the download was hard to master for me. I like the disk because I can hold it in my hand and put it in the computer that way. My review as a 86 year young Turbo Tax user that has taken lessons on the operation of computers at a local community college, I left more confused than I went in. Just not my gig
