More diligence is needed for TT to keep up

I love Turbo Tax and have been using it since inception. I was disappointed to find out that my state changed a law that made it possible to deduct union dues starting in 2023. Union dues are a specific box on my W-2, yet Turbo Tax did not identify this possible deduction. I found it on my own in 2024 just by chance.

Unnecessary Software

If taxes could be submitted via a federal and state program I would opt out of using TurboTax. Imagine a federal and state portal that I would have already given access to income statements that would present me with a tax bill I could review and re-submit for credits or pay.

Two decades later and still using TurboTax

I've been using TurboTax Deluxe-Desktop since 2004. It is convenient, informative, and accurate. I really like the feature that pulls the prior year return information which makes the process faster and allows me to compare the two years' results easily. Great product in all respects.
