In the past I purchased Turbo Tax from BJ's . This year I could only purchase on line. This created several problems since I am not computer literate. I am not sure that i will be using Turbo Tax in the future.

TURBOTAX - LOST MY ONLINE FILING RECORDS - BEWARE!

I've had Turbotax for over a decade and even filed my inlaws taxes using it. This Year's Tax Return (2024) was a nightmare, I couldn't download any of my Turbotax records online and after spending 2-hours trying, gave up and called for assistance (Rep. Jacklyn), she was great, she spend 1-hour looking for my records, and found the purchases/notifications for the submissions to State/Federal for all past years, but my actual filing records I rely on for filing this year, WERE GONE! I spent an entire day trying to get this information and had to go to IRS.GOV and create an account to find last years (2023) filing. Given this experience, I want to know was Turbotax hacked, or how a company of this size could lose my entire tax filing history? With this kind of frustration and aggravation, why would I even consider using Turbotax in (2025)?

Unnecessary changes result in inferior product.

Input interface was significantly inferior to prior years. Combination of Interest, Dividend and Investment data on one screen was unnecessarily confusing and time intensive (cursor jumped back to top of page with each selection). Lack of saved input made review extremely difficult. When data is put in once it should persist until changed. I will definitely be looking at competitive products for next year's return.
