Still my go-to tax program after using it for 20+

Excellent app excepting occasional review that did not define what needed to be addressed. It directed me to a tax form with nothing noted as being incomplete. Large downloads work better in the current version, eliminating slowdown of the program.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Rating step should be optional! You are still pushing out updates at the end of March, this does not inspire confidence.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I've used Turbotax for many years. It's getting harder to track the effect entries have between the forms. An example is the social security worksheet that is derived from income entries. You enter income in another section then a number pops up on the 1040.You can't easily see the steps it went through or understand if it's correct without toggling back and forth between forms. It's hard to follow how much social security income is taxable. I'd like to see some kind of flow chart when you enter a number that shows how many schedules it changes. We got a gambling w2. I couldn't find how it changed my Michigan return. The change was more than just the tax rate against the w2g. I suspect it affected a credit as well as paying the standard tax rate. It's not easy to print and file a state return. I don't want to pay a fee to send a check to the state or receive a minor refund. I gave up and paid 20 to receive 112. I really hate to pay a filing fee when I owe the state. I've stuck with TT because it is easy to flow from year to year and import information like financial statements, dividends and gains. I use TT for planning too.
