Fifth year using Turbo Tax, Great Experience

I have been using TurboTax since 2020, and while doing taxes isn't fun, using TurboTax has made it less painful and easier.

HSA excess contribution issues

Back and continue buttons should stay at the exact location for ALL screens and NOT be moved around, would improve end user usability and speed. There was no way to enter a 2024 HSA excess contribution return to me that I was able to do before the tax deadline of 4/15/2025 within the HSA sections. This return of funds was taxable but I could not find a way to get it to appear as a "taxable excess contribution" amount within HSA section...so I had to enter it as a misc income amount...the HSA section accounted for a prior year excess return of funds (2023) but NOT for 2024 (current tax year and avoiding the penalites). The fee for state e-file payment was also very unclear...screens could use better descriptions as to what fee it is expecting and that you will have to log in to Intuit account to do so...very confusing. thank you

TurboTax is good but needs some clarifications

I get a 1099 every year for a savings account bonus and every year I have a problem on where to report it. I also had a small businesss that I closed years ago yet I keep getting asked for information about it on my filing.

2024 Turbo Tax is not as good as previous years

The 2024 version of Turbo Tax is different than previous versions. The questions are not as clear as previous years which made it more difficult to complete my taxes. Whenever I saved it and quit for the day, it would go back to the beginning of the process. If I did not have so much information from previous years, I would quit using the software. Maybe the programmers need to look at the previous versions and review the changes that were made this year.
