Turbo Tax 2024 Deluxe needs some improvement

Turbo Tax Deluxe 2024 did not automatically apply updates to my existing personal 2024 file when opened for work on my taxes. The result was an inability for the finished return to be electronically filed. After several hours of trouble shooting, a phone call, and some time on the phone, enabled me to obtain the required update. The program should have been updated automatically upon opening.

Too Much Updating

Thourough and helpful but frustrating because you have to update the program constantly even after you update it when you download it.

State E-File charges upfront and then at filing

State filing is a rip off. Pre-paid for State return only to be charged again 3/4 through processing

Turbo TAx

TT software is adequate. The issue begins at the e-file process. Second year in a row I was supposed to have a free state e-file but charges me $20 and wants to add $40 for processing so basically I am paying as much to e-file as the program costs. Ultimately I back out of the state e-file but I will be changing to a different company to file my taxes online. I have tried to be loyal but they bait and switch never ends
