Horrible this year

Horrible this year! I ran all the checks and now I get a lot of errors transmitting the State Return. So i have to spend another $50 for support ? I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years, and never had a problem until now. And i already paid for the State return fee. Are you kidding me?!!

Several Suggestions to Consider

TurboTax used to be more user-friendly. In Walk Through version was not given opportunity to select 1099-R for income. This required us to search for 1099-R and was not in "walk through" mode. Also, TurboTax did not allow us to select "Bailey's Reduction" for NC unless we zero'd out the automatically entered Taxable State amount. This required us to search online for how to get to the Bailey's Reduction and still try various things before it worked. Previous versions were easier. Also the automatic data fill in for NC state return should still display the forms that are being populated so we can verify data was accurately pulled in. We had to go through the whole process and print the form before we could verify where data was pulled in and how numbers were calcuated. This should be viewable in the program.

TurboTax is an excellent product that makes filing my taxes easy and understandable. I count on TurboTax each year to help me understand and file my taxes. The easy to follow step by step process helps me each year. I strongly recommend the use of TurboTax.

Great product, except WA state tax return bug

Been using Turbotax for years. Excellent step by step instructions.
Ran into an odd issue this year with Turbotax prompting me to file a WA state tax return.
WA state does not have a state tax requirement for me.

Too many updates

I file multiple returns for members of my family. The program needs to update most times when I Need to use it. It takes significant times for the updates. Why can't the program be complete when first downloaded. Are there that many errors in it?

Great product

We like the product, only drawback is scrolling to bottom of pages is a hassle as we had to constantly adjust page size on bottom for side bar to show to be able to get to bottom of each page. This has been a consistent problem for years. Annoying!

very disappointed! I tried to file my CA State tax return electronically, there is a $25.00 charge, I'm fine with this.
However I DO NOT was to purchase the Audit Defense for cost of $45.00, TurboTax doesn't allow me to bypass $45.00 charge, TurboTax automatically wants to charge me $45.00! I had to print my State Return and put in US Mail. Last year 2023 Turbo Tax charged me $45.00 I was forced to pay I was not happy. Next year I not use Turbo Tax, will use another electronic tax return service.
