have used turbo tax for many years

had a problem getting the e-file to work this year . Also I can't access all of the past years I have used turbo tax caused by I believe a simple problem with different Email addresses . DUH

Turbo Tax is Thorough; Many Hours of Work Ahead

Generally, Turbo Tax is a reliable, helpful product to use when filing tax forms. My main concerns involve knowing exactly what elements are saved from previous data entries when having to do multiple sessions to enter data. Sometimes it is not clear whether previous work must be re-entered. On a more specific topic, I am a Self-Employed person. The entry on line 17 of Schedule 1 for "Self-employed health insurance deduction" was $0 this year, whereas last year it was much higher. I need an explanation of the difference--was it due to a lower overall Self-Employed Income in 2024 as compared with 2023? It is very difficult to see how the "Self-employed health insurance deduction" is calculated, and what modifications are made to the original entry figure.

Again no issues with Turbo Tax, very straightforward and easy to understand. I had one software question as I will stuck in the payment section of the return. I called the 800 number, talked with James and fixed the issue in 8 minutes. Great help and he was very friendly. This was my 9th year of using the product.

Not User Friendly Anymore

I had to pay full price to submit state tax. The help is horrid, if I wanted to find where a certain item is placed it tells me to go to the Community, if lucky enough for an answer it gives in away most people can't understand and end up having to google it. I like having the CD, one would think that removing an item may lower the cost, NOPE. I am canceling my auto delivery. It is not user friendly anymore

How to input foreign interest

I was not sure how to enter a small amount of interest from a UK bank account.
I had to go to the user group for an answer and found that there were two ways to enter this.
1. Create a dummy 1099-INT, which I did
2. Enter it as miscellaneous income.
Still not sure which was the best way to go or if it even mattered.
