IT WAS HARD FIGURING HOW TO DOWNLOAD INCOME AND EVERY TIME I WENT BACK EVERYTHING HAD TO BE REINPUT. THIS YEAR VERSION WAS MORE COMPLITATED THAN PREVIOUS VERSIONS.

Bad product this year

The software did not function properly for me this year. For example, it kept returning me to fields that had already been properly filled in, like zip codes and state abbreviations. It also did not handle my 1099-MISC properly. I will not use it next year.

I always have a little trouble in getting the financial info downloaded from websites. Some websites are not included and had to enter manually e.g., Coastal Credit Union.

Deluxe Desktop Minor Software Issue 1099-R

This year there was an issue with completing form 1099-R box 16 on the desktop deluxe version. Most forms from payers had this field blank, but TurboTax would not accept this field being blank and would not allow users to continue unless something was entered. On the TT forum I noted in mid-March that the issue was reported but still not resolved for well over a month. Obviously, users could not wait another month for an update, or their taxes wouldn't be filed until after the April 15 deadline. Ultimately TT said to input the same as field 2a, but many users were reluctant to do so as they feared an IRS issue if the payers form and what was input into TT was different. I feel TT should have addressed this and resolved it by means of a program update. I've used TT for many years, and this was the first time I personally experienced an issue. I will likely continue to use the product as I feel it is the most comprehensive product on the market.

I have a lap top computer and the screen is not big enough to show a complete page so I have to scroll up and down to make my entries--FRUSTRATING!! I have a hand desease which makes it even worse.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax is pretty thorough in covering all tax areas. There are some glitches that happen but have always got help by calling the Customer Service help line and have had the issues resolved.

Deceptive Fees for E-Filing

Deceptive fees for taking E-File fees from refunds versus using a credit/debit card with no explaination of the options! Bad form!!!
