Not worth the expense

Could not file electronically. My PIN was rejected and the turbo tax does not let you input it manually a 6 digit number. Nor does it even address the rejection.

Overall product is still very easy to use. I wish there was a better process/accounting of transactions around 529 plan distributions and qualified education expenses. i always have to go back and manually update the actual worksheet to account for all the proper figures.

Turbo Tax 2 many glitches for simple senior return

Hated that you removed the standard deduction status when filing a return because the return took twice as long to process our return. Your 1099R part of the return has a glitch in it that took me in a circle 3 times causing me to duplicate my entry 3 times that I had to go back and fix. 1099-misc other income section kept throwing the small amount into the business portion of the return and treating it as a business and the many questions for a business that didn't apply. Why did you eliminate the simple miscellaneous income line? It was simple last year. Every year there are glitches but this year in particularly bad for a senior return.

Application seems clunky...clumsy...

Did we get our taxes done and printed? yes. Was it as intuitive and easy as in past years...no. It may be that this is the first time I've used a MAC to do our taxes but the format wasn't as nice as before. I couldn't delete a 1099-B that I had started and figured out I didn't need. It was different and not in a good way. I felt as though I didn't have as many help screens and ways to edit. Not to mention this was the most expensive version I've ever had to use.
