Turbo Tax has been my "go to" tax program for over 10 years. It is easy to use and will guide you through the process in a easily understood way. I am always confident that my tax return will be accepted and in a timely manner. Since I have investments, Turbo Tax Deluxe makes that easy to enter that data!

Not as good as usual

You took out some of the back buttons - which made going back difficult.
Also - really? $40 charge to TT to have the fee to file the state taxes taken out of Federal taxes? That's absurd.

I got nervous while working on the federal and Idaho state returns. So, I signed up to get expert tax advice, but it turned out that I didn't need it at all. TurboTax Deluxe just by itself was all I needed.

Some bumps in the road over previous years

I have been using TurboTax since it was released. Actually, I have been using the software even before release as I was a beta tester.
This is the most disappointing experience with the product. (1) Working through the download and set-up was slow. When it did download, the on-screen text overwrote other on-screen text. I had to close out the program and re-initialize to complete the set-up. (2) When I searched for answers, while using the software, it quicker to go out to the Internet to find the answer. (3) Instructions on how to import data from financial institutions, e.g. my investment firm, were unclear. (4) Progressing through the program as I was completing the input was slow. (5) The program hung when I was transmitting my returns; failed to acknowledge a connection. I had to close TurboTax and re-initiate the transmittal process.
I tested my Internet connection during some of these issues, and the connectivity was fine; actually, faster than last year's Internet speed.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
