It isn't what it used to be

Not as complete as it was in the past. I had to make manual entries in several places to reduce my taxes to correct amount, saving me about $5000.
Also I was double charged ($25) for state filing.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbotax transferred our AGI from amended return and not from original return. This caused a rejection from state and federal for 2024 submittal.

Stop the Additional Charges!!!

I have used Turbo Tax for nearly 30 years and really like the software, but I am tired of all the additional fees after I have bought the software: $45 for additional State when it used to be $20, then charging $20 for electronic filing of State Returns when it cost Turbo Tax absolutely $0 to transmit the returns electronically.

Turbotax is a great value

Good value. Used it for many years. What really disappoints me is the constant nudge to buy the add on state electronic return over and over and over again. I got $58 back from Michigan and I will used postage to file rather than spend $20 for e-file state. Bugs the crap outa me !

I've used Turbo Tax ever since seeing the product. I don't know how many years, but as a 70 yr old, it's been an indispensable part of my filing. I love the downloads of past info and the explanations for processing.

Almost Awesome

My overall experience was very good. However, the use of specialized, tax related, terms could be improved by including clearer and simpler lay-person style explanations of the terms. This is especially important when dealing with attachments such as worksheets.
