I have used TurboTax Deluxe for many years and in general it is great, although occasionally a bit quirky, which is not a problem. However, in the past couple of years, TurboTax has made it increasingly difficult to avoid filing State taxes without paying an additional amount. This is a user choice, and the choice an individual makes should be respected. If someone chooses not to eFile State Taxes, TurboTax should help with the alternative, not make it as difficult as possible. This used to be much more friendly, with info about which forms to mail, etc.

Every year Turbo Tax software is becoming worse. CD's need to be issued without $10 charge. I needed to reinstall 2019 because of corruption. Thank God I saved the CD. Even if available, (it wasn't), it's cumbersome downloading online. 2. Big problem: No reference in software under Retirement Distributions to clearly account for rollovers internally from a 457 regular to 457 Roth account. One must force association with 401K questions or return will not be accurate. 3. Form 6251 needs to be included as part of "supporting statements" even if minimum tax is not required because it shows how it becomes an event by tax liability comparison and it shows the threshold. The worksheet is ineffective and unacceptable as descriptive. 4. When clicking on desktop Turbo it doesn't show the 3 saved returns saved. Had to exit and clicking on the file folder to retrieve. 5. Interest & Dividend section is now forced to list alphabetical order but there are more important reasons to list manually by other criteria and importance. You have taken away a valuable element of choice of how to list. Had to delete all suggestions from prior year to order by preference. Terrible feature.

I use Turbo tax every year. I'd like it better if it would go back to the pager I left off, when I need to save the file and come back later. It always goes back a few pages, so I have to redo steps.
