Printing Needs Improvement

Options for printing are aggravating. It should be possible to create PDF files and to print without waiting for print to be generated over and over again. it should also be possible to select discontinuous subsets of forms to be saved or printed.
Also, having e-Filed my federal return, there was no simple way to print my state return for filing. (Note: State e-File should cost less than printing and mailing 7 sheets of paper ($1-2), not $20. Ripoff.)

Issue with incorrect transfer from previous return

Normally I trave about turbo Tax, but not this year. Some info that was transferred from the 2023 tax return was incorrect, and constantly produced an error (when the error check was performed) I could not e-file the return, nor could I determine what the correct number was, Finally I went to a CPA tax accountant and he determined the correct number, entered it into the software and it passed review w/o any errors. Some of this issue is with the convoluted IRS tax code, that is difficult to follow (issue was with the famous sect 179 deduction carryover). At any rate, Taxes are complete and e-filed. I will continue to use Turbo Tax in the future.

Turbo Tax 2023

When clicking on "search" I get Chat Assistance when all I wanted was to find area in form to adjust. "Search feature should not represent Chat". Perhaps should consider two buttons one for each.

Federal is great, but Alabama has issues.

The Federal return process was accurate and easy. The Alabama software has an ongoing (at least 5 years running) defect for W-2's that are not taxable at the state level. It inserts the Federal taxable wage number into line 5b of form 40. This causes the state to reject the return, since the entry on 5b must be the same as the state taxable amount shown in the W-2 (this box is typically left blank) To fix this issue, one must go to the Alabama W-2 worksheet and delete the number in the "taxable in other states" column for this, W-2. That will generate a 0 on Form 40 line 5b. Intuit should fix this problem.

Turbo tax is user friendly and easy to follow the step- by- step procedures. My info from previous returns was stored which sped up the process.
