Some Problems

Typically an excellent product but this year I had a few issues;
1. Did not import one of the W2 even thou I entered all the needed criteria, I had to upload it
2. Did not import all accounts I have with Ally Bank. Only imported first page and I had to manually enter the other accounts
3. Did not delete old accounts that were no longer valid after I hit the Trash Can

TurboTax can improve

Turbo Tax is usually easy to use. I like that this year the software copied bank account info from when I entered for Fed return to State return as well. (I use to have to re-enter when filling out state return info) What I wasn't satisfied with is I get my health insurance through the ACA and this year's software did not direct me to where I enter 1095-A info, and it was difficult manually navigating to the correct place to enter the info.

Turbo Tax is good but

In general, still an easy way to complete tax returns. However the 2024 changes in entering information from 1099's is a step backwards from previous versions and lack of thoroughness and due diligence on State Tax returns continues. This year it was lack of tracking from year to year, the Cap Gain Loss carry-forward. It's done for the Federal return, but not the State return. Why not?

I've been using Turbo Tax for at least 15 years. I've never had a problem, even when I need to amend a return.
