I had a problem with Turbo-Tax for the first time in 25 years. I spoke to an agent whose name is Denise. She was extremely helpful. One big problem that came up was this. I entered my 1099-R information from my Fidelity account. I have two accounts, so I was sent 1099-R's for both. I entered them and a few pages later, Turbo Tax, did not recognize the Total. After a 45 minute phone call with Denise, it was determined that I needed to combine the two accounts. She read me an article that said starting in 2024, accounts from the same Investment firm were to be combined. When we did this, it corrected the problem. Nowhere in your program does it tell you to do this. I spent hours trying to figure out why Turbo Tax was trying to tell me I was short $100,000 short from my RMD. Your program couldn't accept the two separate accounts. But your program doesn't tell you to combine the accounts. I'm very upset. I lost hours of my time on this problem, along with several calls to Turbo-Tax, only to find out your program has a glitch in it. I hope you take a look at what I'm saying and fix it for next year. Otherwise, I'll will have to use another company after 25+ years. Please take this seriously.
