I don't like it after I get all done with federal and state taxes, fees and charges are asked for to e-file everything and get refunds etc. Can there be a link on the tool bar stating all these fees and charges so I can look them up before or at anytime to see what I will be expected to pay before all taxes are completed and filed?

Filing with a credit card for State returns

Big problem filing and using a credit card. Entered all my information and several times, could not see or navigate to the next page as it was below my screen level. Finally found a way to see it, also, should let people know they need to have a credit card on file within Intuit to file using a credit card.

Intuit lobbies against free filing of taxes

The software is fine. The company and the other companies in this field actively lobby the federal government to continue our collective dependence on them. The federal government already knows your income; they could easily send you a prefilled form, which your only task is to provide information about deductions. Intuit and other paid software companies benefit from our misery and wasted time by having to use some paid version of their software and lobby against free filing. At some point they may have been the more convenient way to file taxes, but they are actively working to keep you hooked on this paid version of tax filing. It doesn't have to be this way. It's a choice by these companies to keep us dependent, and it sucks.

1099 entry is annoying!

Worse than previous versions. The section for entering 1099's is confusing and annoying. After each entry or edit, it automatically scrolls back to the top and then you have to scroll down to find the particular entry you wanted to work on. I have the Mac version.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
