Still Good, but Used to Be Better in Some Ways

Have used it for years. However it was generally better previously. Getting a CD with the software was better, especially as PC crash required re-downloading a previous year's software. INTUIT seemingly makes that difficult or impossible for 2-year-old or older software that was bought. Current product has minor glitches when trying to enter numbers in some fields during Step-by-step entries. Requires going to "forms" to do so. Examples: real estate tax for additional home; additional med insurance payments; miles driven for medical expense deduction; others.

TurboTax Works, but is Very User Unfriendly

As usual, if you don't know how to do your taxes, TurboTax will miss things you might not want missed. It also won't bring everything from your prior year that doesn't necessarily change (e.g., Third Party Designee); but doesn't ask if you want them entered. Entering information for Form 8949 part II is still unnecessarily cumbersome and time consuming for those who don't get forms 1099 electronically, and/or don't want to give TurboTax access to their financial accounts (major firms continue to be compromised). It is also still impossible to select text outside of fillable fields to copy it for use in searches, chats or feedback; and TurboTax repeatedly tries to sell services instead of asking once and giving a menu for those services. The search feature is barely useful, and you can't search for text on the pages you're viewing.

TurtboTax is an Extremely Useful Income Tax Tool

TurboTax has a very logical and easy to use step-by-step process for guiding the user through entry of a complicated set of information and data required for filing a complete IRS Tax Form. Also, I love the 'back" key which allows me to go back and revisit, review, and modify a set of info, if necessary, to entries which I've already made as I work my way through the step-by-step process. Also, TurboTax caught an error which I had made concering a payer's zip code. Error checking is an essential feature!

Turbo Tax Does the Job

The product still doesn't transmit all of prior year. Could also have better explanations. Help features are mediocre. But it beats filling it out manually. The ability to do federal and tax on same product is excellent. I haven't tried the myriad of other tax software applications now available. Turbo Tax was the cutting edge years ago and I have just kept with it.
