TurboTax 2025 Review

I have used TurboTax for many years. I found several items this year that made the experience far more difficult than it should have been. When adding interest, a fairy large financial company wasn't listed on the selection list. Getting to a simple print for my records was not easy. I didn't find it to be as intuitive as it has been in past years.

Cumbersome and clunky

I have used intuit for taxes since about 1994
Typically use PC
This year I used Mac.
Was unable to download Northwester Mutual account information. Switched to PC and was able to download and complete the forms. Then I was unable to electronically file. Was hung up at the payment process. Tried intermittently for about 5 days.
Then switched back to Mac
Still unable. Spent 90 minutes on the phone with three different tech people. They were king but unable to help solve the state E-file problem
Filed federal electronically. Needed to mail my state return

TurboTax 2024- Tax Prep made for non professionals

I completed and e-filed my federal and state returns using easy to follow guidelines and prompts. I like the additional "learn more" links that provided more info on specific items. Good value for the price.

Love turbo tax

Nice and easy!!
LOVE turbo tax only problem was the task bar on my computer was blocking the payment continue for efile a little frustrating and had to google how to hide it!!!

It was a plain night mare. I used turbo for years but this one complicated to use with the save button. Ill go back to using an accountant
