QUICK FIX WHEN USING APPLE LAPTOPS

ELECTORONIC VERSION ORDERED AND DOWNLOADED (WITH MUCH DIFFICULTY ON AN APPLE RECENTLY PURCHASED LAPTOP). TURBO TAX TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT COULD NOT RESOLVE. CONTACTING APPLE, A TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT PERSON STATED TURBO TAX DOWNLOAD NOT COMPATIBLE WITH COMPUTER CHIP USED IN APPLE LAPTOPS WITHOUT FIRST DOWNLOADING AN APP CALLED "ROSETTA." ONCE THAT WAS DONE, NO PROBLEM. THE INTUIT SUPPORT PERSON WAS UNAWARE OF THIS. 4+ HOURS WASTED WHEN IT WAS A QUICK FIX ONCE I KNEW WHAT WAS NEEDED. TURBO TAX PROGRAM SHOULD MAKE USERS AWARE OF THIS AT THE START.

Is okay if your taxes are simple

Have used Turbotax Deluxe for past ~8 years. Requires past knowledge of how to calculate and file income taxes, since has Turbotax missed some items. This year, eventhough Turbotax included WI Schedule U with my WI State taxes, no calculation was made for underpayment of estimated tax. I should not have relied on Turbotax to determine the penalty, so subsequently, the State sent me a notice of a penalty amount due. Thanks.

TurboTax Saves Time and Money!

TurboTax gives me the option to do my own taxes and save money because I don't have to pay a tax person to do my taxes. I have used one in the past and I actually do ALL the work for them by filling their "form" with all of the information needed to file my taxes. This is the 5th year I've used TurboTax and it is easier each year because it has my information from returns. I like how it links to my various accounts and retrieves the information automatically. This saves me time and assures accuracy. The questions are easy to understand and there is usually a detailed explanation if it is needed.
At the end, there is a "review" where various sections are highlighted to be reassessed with the reason why. I also like the way it offers Expert Advice, for an added fee. I didn't use it this year but in a previous year I had a recurring question about one of my forms and I couldn't figure out what they wanted. I "chatted" with an expert, asked him and he cleared up the question and helped me answer it correctly.
