I DOWNLOADED MY TAX FILES FROM EDWARD JONES AND HAD TO PROVIDE EITHER SHORT OR LONG TERM HOLDING PERIOD. EDWARD JONES SAID "VARIOUS" AND I HAD DIFFICULTY DETERMINING THE CORRECT HOLDING PERIOD.

Has improved even over last years TT. Still lots for me to figure out, but not the fault of TT. Just that my taxes (and taxes in general) are just getting more complicated every year.

A few problems at the end.

I had some difficulty at the end of the process. I had an Oklahoma non-resident tax return, and I am a Washinton state resident. Washington doesn't have income tax and the program kept preventing me from filing because I hadn't completed a Washington state tax return. After fiddling with it, it finally worked. I also had difficulty with the Oklahoma tax return. There is an entry for Use tax on Form 5111-NR, line 23. I wanted to include an amount, but the form wouldn't allow me to do so.

Tax Filing made Easy

Turbo Tax is always easy to use. I don't dread tax preparation any more! I just wish they would bundle the cost of state E-file in with the Deluxe package. Otherwise it's a great product and it makes filing your taxes a breeze!

Data management is atrocious. It should not allow a user to write over a filed return. It should have automated backups.
