Turbotax for 2024 was not as user friendly.
I didn't want the scheduled payment option to the IRS for what I owed and I couldn't find where to change this.
So, I changed my payment option to be direct debit from my checking account. The print preview still showed four scheduled payments.

Not enamored with the changes to the program.

I have been using TurboTax for over 15 years and really don't like when you make changes to the program when the old version worked fine. One example, is how you "simplified" the entry of interest, dividends and capital gains. In the old version, you had a list of payers from the prior year with an edit button. That was actually much simpler (but maybe the graphics didn't look as good). Making change for changes sake just makes it harder for people who are familiar with TurboTax to use it.

Turbo tax not working too well

will not let me transmit for e-file federal or SC, and GA states, Failed _validation. there is an update available for your version of turbo tax, Before you can file electronically, you'll need to get this update. to do this go to online menu, and select check for updates, have done this several times, software says that I'm up to date, exited out, restarted checked for update again still says that I'm up to date, checked my windows 11 updates, it it good to go, have already paid to file SC, and GA, not very happy, can not find a solution on-line, but looks like several people have had the same issue, been using turbo tax for almost 20 years may be time to switch !

Not too happy with Turbo Tax these days

The product is not as smooth as before. Keep running into a lot of little glitches in many places. I ended up double checking the work of Turbo Tax because I do not trust it as much as before. It is also not asking clear questions to get to the proper calculations in many places. The AI driven Question/search is totally not helpful. I ended up taking my questions to google instead!!!!! This used to be very helpful!
Also, charging $25 to file a state return to your royal customers is too much!
Seriously thinking about using something else next time. I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 40 years!
