During the process of doing your taxes Turbo tax will says these forms must be submitted with the return.
However, when you do the final print it does NOT list the forms that need to be submitted

I was issued two 1099-Rs. They did not have a box 16 on them, yet TurboTax required me to enter an amount that appeared in box 16 before I could proceed to the next section. It was extremely frustrating.

Turbo tax has been good for us for many years

I was a little disappointed in Turbo tax that i could not retrieve my taxes from last year. You have stated you did not have access to it but I have been filing with TT for many many years. It made it a little difficult to maneuver through the questions this time.
